PACE Cardiology Partners with NexJ Health to Provide People-Centered Cardiovascular Care
Evidence-based program designed to support people with cardiovascular disease and their families to better manage their overall health and wellbeing through one-on-one and group coaching sessions, educational content, secure messaging, and wellbeing trackers
Toronto — August 3, 2023 — NexJ Health Inc. (“NexJ Health”), a provider of virtual care solutions for polychronic condition management and mental wellbeing, today announced that Partners in Advanced Cardiac Evaluation (PACE) Cardiology, a world leader in cardiac care, research, and diagnostics, has implemented the NexJ Connected Wellness platform to deliver – Virtual Cardiac Wellness and Mindfulness programs for its patients in Ontario.
The MyVIEW program wellness coaches and clinicians provide patients with one-on-one coaching on NexJ Connected Wellness and group coaching sessions on topics such as exercise and nutrition, rest and recharge, stress management, mindfulness and long-term wellness vision. MyVIEW also leverages the evidence-based educational content in the NexJ Health Library to promote healthy living and heart health.
Patients can communicate securely with their wellness coaches and clinicians, as well as their circle of care using messaging and video chat. Furthermore, patients can track both manually and through their fitness and health wearables their daily behaviors, biometrics, and psychometrics throughout the program. PACE Cardiology’s participating physicians have access to NexJ Health’s virtual care platform, which provides insights into their patients’ behaviors and progress.
“We’re excited to launch this program on the NexJ Connected Wellness platform to enhance our patient experience as we continue providing compassionate and personalized cardiac care,” noted Dr. Yaariv Khaykin, President and Physician Leader at PACE Cardiology. “Our partnership with NexJ Health further assists us in our goal to provide our patients with innovative, comprehensive cardiac care in a timely manner. We would also like to acknowledge and thank Myant Inc. for contributing to the fund of the MyVIEW Cardiac Wellness and Mindfulness programs.”
The Virtual MyVIEW programs aim to promote healthy behaviors related to nutrition, physical activity, mental health, sleep, mindfulness, and medication adherence to improve overall health and wellbeing and increase patient engagement. The program will also offer support to assist patients in enhancing their energy levels, productivity, and work-life balance.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with PACE Cardiology to deliver person-centered care for people with cardiovascular disease and their families,” said Janine Tatham, Vice President of Strategic Accounts at NexJ Health. “The Virtual MyVIEW Cardiac Wellness and Mindfulness programs on NexJ Connected Wellness provide PACE Cardiology with the necessary support to extend high-quality healthcare to more people living with heart diseases and conditions, regardless of geographical and time constraints.”
PACE Cardiology plans to expand their partnership with NexJ Health to support other critical areas of focus, including atrial fibrillation, heart failure, women’s heart health, type 2 diabetes, and sports cardiology.
