Toronto Star – New Year’s resolutions: Apps to keep you on track
Apps help users better understand their health, says Bill Tatham, CEO of NexJ Systems Inc., a company affiliated with York University that is developing an app to help diabetics improve their health.
“We want to connect people to health information so they understand what their current condition is,” he says. “It’s hard to understand the doctor sometimes, it’s not always in lay language.”
Applications allow users to track, identify and analyze their daily habits. “Over time people develop an intuitive understanding of the relationship between their behaviour and wellness,” says Tatham.
